Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This incident isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
